Upgraded existing MRI and CT scan equipment in the 1st floor of West Marion Community Hospital. The existing electrical, medical gas, nurse call and HVAC were brought up to current code requirements. Included work above corridor ceilings without disruption to normal work activities in surrounding areas. This project had a small window of down time due to the critical nature of the equipment. Project scheduling had to be precise and managed closely. Sheilding needed unexpected work once the walls were opened. Additional work had to be done to correct and recertify the shielding. Room finishes included welded linoleum flooring with integral base, epoxy painted walls, scrubbable ceilings, and non-metallic materials inside the MRI shielding.
